Student Leadership

At CHS we believe our students should be given a varied range of opportunities to develop and practise leadership skills in preparation for life beyond school. Initiatives and ideas are developed as a result of collaborative work of students, teachers and support staff working together to identify ‘Nothing but the Best’ for our school. Many Student Leadership activities will focus on supporting the quality of teaching and learning in the classroom whilst also reinforcing the school’s vision & values, to create a climate for great learning, success and opportunity. Through trying new things, finding solutions and embracing responsibility our student leadership team will ensure the voice of the student body is heard.

 

Our student leadership team are the face and ambassadors of CHS and demonstrate the excellent standards of ‘perfect uniform’, exemplary conduct, and a positive attitude to school, work and activities. Working collaboratively allows for our student leadership team to be empowered in planning, organising and working as a team to ensure CHS is a school where students excel, gain essential skills for life and build positive relationships within the school and community.

In order to ensure the success of our student leadership team, the school provides plentiful opportunities to develop and build leadership skills, confidence and excellent communication skills. In addition, recognising and rewarding students who positively embrace the ‘Cockshut Hill way’.
